This ongoing body of work explores small, isolated towns across Nevada and California, places shaped by singular industries, vast landscapes, and a longstanding belief in independence and resilience. Many residents moved to these towns in pursuit of autonomy: land, privacy, and self determination. Today, that chosen independence is being reshaped by forces beyond their control, as the infrastructure that once sustained these communities steadily withdraws. The project combines intimate portraits and expansive landscapes to examine this shift.
