My project documents the energy, connection and liberation that unfold when people gather in mass celebrations throughout the world. Over the last decade, I have traveled across four continents, photographing many of the world’s great celebrations. Though different in culture or purpose, these celebrations share a common thread: surrender to something larger than oneself, and the release of uninhibited emotion.
