This project examines the often-overlooked formal qualities and beauty of utilitarian objects. Rather than the sterile lifeless perspective of a scientific image or the highly technical and polished studio commercial shot, my approach to photographing everyday objects is infused with a sense of wonder and curiosity. By emphasizing the uniqueness of objects that are thought to be commonplace, I hope that the viewer will slow down their daily routine to appreciate the unexpected beauty of the objects that they unconsciously engage with every day.
